Visit Amble — the pocket guide to Amble-by-the-Sea · Effective 27 August 2026

Visit Amble is built to help you explore Amble-by-the-Sea. This policy explains, in plain English, what information the app handles and why. If you have any questions, contact us at andy@andyferriby.com.

Information you provide

• Reviews — the name you enter, your rating, review text and any photos you attach are stored so other visitors can read them. Please don't include personal details in public reviews.
• Business listings & specials — business owners provide a business name, description, contact details and daily "What's on tonight" specials, which are shown publicly in the app.

Location

The harbour walk and "nearby" features use your device location only while the app or watch app is in use. Location data is processed on your device to calculate distances and is never uploaded or stored on our servers.

Purchases

Business listing subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. We never see or store your payment card details. The business listing subscription is an auto-renewing annual subscription (£25.99/year); it renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store account settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we use OneSignal to deliver push notifications (such as tide alerts on Apple Watch). A device push token is stored so notifications can reach your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in system settings.

Third-party services

• Open-Meteo — supplies tide, marine and sun data. Requests contain no personal information.
• Apple Maps — opens directions when you ask for them.
• Supabase — hosts the review, listing and specials data described above.

Children

Visit Amble is a general-audience travel guide and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting your content
